The festival of Hari Raya Aidilfitri will be celebrate of all muslim as end marks of fasting month Ramadhan in Islam calendar. Some people said it is celebration day of fasting and others said it is the time where you can take a long leave especially to those hometown is far..huhu..to me as i'm growing up, it is a time of forgiveness and of course is a time to strengthening of bonds amongst relatives and friends. If i still kid may be the true meaning of Hari Raya would be the time of collecting 'duit raya' and used it to buy toys..haha..and not forgeting the time is when you get new clothes and can play firecrackers in night with cousin and niece..
As usual every year, my family went back to father's side of family. We travel back to kampung which is in Muar, Johor. Although we only go back to dad's side for Hari Raya, my mum's relatives will come to our kampung to visit during this special day.
On first day of Syawal my family and i and also elder relatives woke up early in morning to go to nearest mosque 'Masjid Jamek Al-Amin Bukit Kangkar, Muar Johor' for Eid prayer'. After that, we visited my grandmother's grave to perform recital of theYasin and clean the grave. From the story told by my 'atok aki' our late generation are from penghulu kampung and pahlawan..yet to be true, there is a bond between Menteri Besar Johor, Ghani Othman. Next, we went back to 'Teratak Hj.Ibrahim' and the best part is makan2x time. All the ketupat, rendang,kuah kacang,lontong, kari ayam (the dishes that i can still remember) already served and atok aki start doa and everyone enjoyed their meals..nyum2x..
Now, is turn to ask forgiveness amongst family and relatives for the wrongdoings..huhu..Abah, mak maapkan dosa2x diya yang telah lepas..Soon the giving duit raya to youngster and who not yet work..Me?? Dah keja so need to give laaa...Geez..it's heartwarming to see kids and my makcik2 also gleefully smile when youhand them out their envelopes.
Taking picture time!! Kind of compulsary event in the family as 1 of my cousin took Mascom cources in Uitm so she has camera with the stand and zooming become so easy..hehe..start with Pak Uda family, fiza and her new hubby ;) my family, pakcik, pak jang, pak itam, mak usu, the girls (all the mak2 and anak dara comel2), the pandir group..Hahahaha..I think nearly 40 people in the house gathering for this Raya season..
Afterwards, Pak itam then will view the video that he recorded before from the morning..This is the best time as we all gathered together and borak2, comment2, lawak2 and used the time to catch up and reminisce about the past...As time goes by, our big family dressed up and all together visiting atok aki's relatives in closes village. For 1st syawal we able to visit 4 families, 2nd Syawal 3 families..
At night usually we stay at home and the time of other relatives to visit us..the night also filed with playing firecracker and mercun especially for the young ones..
I agree Hari raya is meaningful day where you can see unity as everyone wishing to have a joyous Hari Raya..Agreed?? To all my friends thank you for remembering me and sorry for not replying your sms. Have a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1430H, maap zahir dan batin!!
